Clara Loeb is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts from the Royal Academy of Music under the instruction of Yuko Inoue. Through Academy, she has recently become a recipient of the Sir John Barbirolli Memorial Prize.
Originally from Houston, Texas, she obtained a Bachelors of Music in Viola Performance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, under the tutelage of Barbara Sudweeks, Associate Principal Violist of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. As an undergraduate, Clara was a member of the Ephémère Quartet that worked extensively with Matt Albert and the Escher Quartet. She was also invited to play with the prestigious Meadows Virtuosi Players, alongside Matt Albert and Andres Diaz.
Clara has attended many summer festivals including Madeline Island Music Camp, Castleman Quartet Program, Round Top Orchestral Institute, Musique en Graves (Bordeaux, France), National Orchestral Institute, and Domaine Forget (Quebec). She has performed in masterclasses for internationally renowned violists such as James Dunham, Jon Thorne, Jean Sulem, Miguel da Silva, Tatjana Masurenko, Robert Vernon, Paul Silverthorne, Atar Arad, and CJ Chang.
